SOTI MobiControl Manager – Two devices think they are the same device after cloning ES400
When trying to clone devices in Soti by exporting the Reg Keys using the a Image Compare tool you can cause devices to believe they are the same device in the SOTI MobiControl Manager interface
This is down to a setting on your agent configuration.
First thing is to correct the cause of the issue by tweaking the following settings on your agent configuration which will prevent the following from happening again
Enable – “Use a server generated device ID” for you Device ID. (See Screen Shot)
Now to resolve the issue with the two devices which have the same device IDs, run the following script to the device using the SOTI Script Tool
